I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to help save more lives than ever in 2019. But those automated donations can take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Mine, in particular, lean more toward the hour-and-a-half territory. What’s a girl to do? Watch Netflix movies and donate. And because I’m so thankful for your willingness to help us save lives, here are my top five recommendations for January.
The Dark Knight: This one should be obvious. Like you, Batman is the hero this city needs! Plus, Heath Ledger is amazing as The Joker. The Dark Knight is back on Netflix this month, and it’s one of the best Batman movies ever made.
Dumplin: OK, I haven’t watched this one yet, but I’ll be watching it during my next donation. (Donating platelets means I get to donate every two weeks!) I’m a ’90s girl, and I’ll watch anything with Jennifer Aniston in it.
Across The Universe: It’s the Beatles. How can you go wrong? I personally own the movie and the soundtrack — just be careful not to distract your neighbors if you’re like me and need to singalong!
I Know What You Did Last Summer: Come on, guys, this one’s classic! Plus, what better time to watch a scary movie than when you’re in the well-lit area surrounded by people. Don’t like scary movies or get jumpy? You might want to skip this one.
Indiana Jones: I’m kind of cheating here because there are four different movies to choose from — Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Last Crusade, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom. Knock them all out one-by-one over several different donations.
