On Saturday, April 18, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch recognized our hardworking and dedicated Commit for Life volunteers.
Every year, The Blood Center takes time during National Volunteer Appreciation Week to thank the volunteers who sacrifice their time to help us save lives. The event was held in the beautiful Primavera room at The Grove Restaurant at Discovery Green in downtown Houston.
In 2014, The Blood Center’s 295 volunteers devoted 6,458 hours to raising awareness of the need for blood donors in our community. Volunteers help by signing in donors at blood drives, promoting their Neighborhood Donor Centers, educating the community at health fairs and much more! Last year, 77 new volunteers signed up to Commit for Life as a volunteer.
Hats off to all of our wonderful volunteers who help make our lifesaving mission possible!
