The deadline for The Blood Center’s Commit for Life Creative Scholarship is rapidly approaching, and eligible high school seniors are encouraged to apply by March 1!
The scholarship program will award each of 20 local area high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward their education. To apply, students are required to use their imagination to submit a creative project or presentation to educate and inspire individuals to Commit for Life.
To qualify, the student’s high school must host at least two blood drives with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center during the school year when the scholarship recipients are chosen, but the student is not required to be a blood donor. The student must plan to attend an institution of higher learning in the year following award of the scholarship.
The scholarship application and additional details are available at www.giveblood.org/scholarship.
