Meet the dynamic men and women who drive The Blood Center’s continued success:
Brian Gannon has served as President and CEO since 2006. The Blood Center's Commit for Life program has seen phenomenal growth under his leadership. Currently, more than a quarter million Commit for Life donors give blood and save lives on a regular basis.
Dr. Susan Rossmann is the first Chief Medical Officer of The Blood Center. She joined our organization in 2001 from her position as Director of the blood bank and Microbiology and Serology departments at Texas Children's Hospital.
Granville Betton, the newest member of the executive team, joined The Blood Center in 2015 as Vice President of Operations. He oversees the Donor Collections, Product Management, Client Services, Donor Recruitment, Regional Operations departments as well as the Commit for Life program.
Caron Cousins Baker became The Blood Center’s Chief Technical Officer in 2000 after three years as Director of National Donor Testing Services. She is responsible for The Blood Center’s Laboratory Services, National Testing Services, and Education and Training departments.
Melissa Fisher was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 1999 after serving as The Blood Center’s Director of Business Operations. She oversees the Business Operations, Risk Management, and Building and Fleet departments.
The health care industry is constantly evolving in light of new technology and regulations, but The Blood Center’s experienced leadership is well-equipped to take these changes in stride and effectively serve patients throughout the Gulf Coast, East Texas and Brazos Valley regions.
