D’iante From the sparkle in her eyes, one would never guess D'iante is battling leukemia. "Leukemia has changed my life dramatically," D'iante says. Since she was diagnosed in 2007, blood donors have enabled her to be strong in her fight. Angelina Angelina is a rising star that continues to shine thanks to regular blood donors who Commit for Life. At 18 months Angelina was diagnosed with leukemia and required 17 blood transfusions to help save her life. Today, Angelina's family can continue to enjoy her sparkling personality because of all those who made a commitment to save lives.

Campsey Campsey has spent her entire life battling Sickle Cell Anemia, but thanks to blood donors who Commit for Life, she’s also finding enjoyment in every day. “All my treatments would be null and void without the blood,” she says. Blood donors who keep Campsey alive and well also allow her to give a special gift to others, as she has taught English to students in the Houston Independent School District for more than 10 years.

Jacob Jacob was born 17 weeks premature and needed blood shortly after birth. Now he's a healthy 3-year-old who loves to play with his grandfather, Greg. Greg feels a special bond with Jacob. "I'm happy to say my blood is running through his body today," says Greg. "My donation was not only a gift to Jacob, but a gift back to me."

Gabriel Gabriel was only 2 years old when he and his family turned to blood donors to help save his life. He was battling a serious illness and required multiple blood transfusions as he awaited a bone marrow transplant, which he later received. In 2009, he celebrated his four-year anniversary in remission thanks to the selfless individuals who Committed for Life.

Nellie As a talented TV personality, Nellie shares stories with others, but in 2007 it was her own story she would share to encourage others to donate blood. On Thanksgiving Day while on a family vacation, Nellie became very ill and used several units of blood to help save her life. Thankfully there were individuals who Committed for Life and gave Nellie and her family another reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving.
