Alessandra's Commit for Life Story Alessandra was 9 months old when she was listed for a liver transplant. Every day for several months, donated blood helped keep her alive as her family waited for a liver to become available. Alessandra received a liver transplant on April 30, 1999, and is now a healthy 13-year-old!
