Congratulations to Commit for Life donor David McCoy of Sugar Land, Texas!!

David McCoy is Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s winner of the Spring Bling giveaway with IW Marks Jewelers. He was one of more than 22,000 individuals who donated or attempted to donate during the month of March, and was randomly selected to win a select piece of jewelry – a diamond heart pendant – generously donated by IW Marks Jewelers.

McCoy, a resident of Sugar Land who donates quarterly at the Sugar Land Neighborhood Donor Center, was awarded the jewelry at a ceremony at IW Marks’ Bellaire Boulevard location. He and his wife, Marie, accepted the jewelry from Brian Gannon, president and CEO of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center; Bradley Marks, vice president of IW Marks Jewelers; and Daniel Marks, vice president of IW Marks Jewelers.

McCoy, who has been giving blood since college in the early 1970s, is a Commit for Life donor. He said he enjoys giving because it is an easy way to help others and takes only an hour of your time, and that it was a pleasure to give the pendant to his wife, who accompanied him to the presentation.
