The Blood Center of Brazos Valley begins operations

The Blood Center of Brazos Valley, a new affiliate of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, began operations on Thursday, Jan. 10 with the start of its mobile blood drive program.

Although Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has served Brazos Valley with operations based out of Houston for many years, the new affiliate – The Blood Center of Brazos Valley – will offer the same services from a convenient location within the community. The center will serve cities in Brazos, Burleson, Fayette, Grimes, Leon, Madison and Washington Counties.

“We are the primary supplier of blood products to hospitals and health care facilities in this area, and The Blood Center of Brazos Valley will provide more convenient access for area hospitals and more opportunities for local residents to Commit for Life and help save lives in their community,” says Brian Gannon, president and CEO of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
