Congratulations to Britney Craig and Brett Bradshaw

The Blood Center East Texas is proud to congratulate Britney Craig and Brett Bradshaw, its 2007 winners of The Power of Life scholarship. Each student received $2,000 to pursue higher education.

Craig is a senior at Lufkin High School. She plans to attend the University of North Texas, where she will study either psychology or physical therapy. Bradshaw is a senior at Woden High School. He will attend Texas A&M University and major in chemical engineering.

Craig and Bradshaw were selected to win based on essays they submitted suggesting ways to encourage high school students to continue donating blood after graduation. Scholarships were awarded at the recent “A Celebration of Life” dinner and awards ceremony.
