Livingston Blood Donor Wins Gas Card Giveaway

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is pleased to congratulate Marsha Mayhew of Livingston, a winner in Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s gas card giveaway. Individuals who donated or attempted to donate during select weeks in June and July were entered in a drawing to win a $100 gas card.

Mayhew made her winning donation at Bradley Welborn State Farm Insurance, where a replenishment blood drive was hosted on June 25 for a local patient, Danielle Logan of Livingston. At the time, Logan was in her eighth month of pregnancy with her second child, and needed blood because her body had stopped producing red blood cells.

More than 800 blood donations are needed every day in the Texas Gulf Coast region to help patients just like Danielle. Individuals who Commit for Life and donate at least once per quarter help maintain an adequate blood supply at all times. Every donation can help save as many as three lives.

Individuals who donate or attempt to donate at any Neighborhood Donor Center or blood drive during the month of August will receive a gift certificate for a free pint of Blue Bell ice cream as part of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s Blue Bell Month giveaway.
