One of the best parts of the Holiday Hugs tradition is reading the notes our donors write for patients in the hospital over the holidays. It’s not an easy task as each patient has his or her own individual circumstance, so we’re restricted in which cards we tie to each bear. Still, many of our donors are well up to the task.
“I hope your holidays are filled with joy and happiness. To a New Year!!”
“You are strong and special as a superhero!! Much love.”
“Warm hugs from your bear”
“Here is a huge bear hug for you this season!”
“Wishing you a Beary Merry Christmas with warm, cuddly wishes.”
Some even showed off their artistic skills, drawing Christmas trees, ornaments and Santa Claus depictions.
Then, one donor created a series of cards with punny jokes on them.
“What did one volcano say to the other? I lava you!”
“What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta!”
Thank you to all our donors who help make the Holiday Hugs tradition special for patients who can’t be home during the holiday season. And if you haven’t donated, there’s still time to get in your Holiday Hugs notes by our Dec. 31 deadline. Schedule an appointment today!
