Black Bear Diner Offer Donors Free Entrée Voucher

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is thrilled to announce its renewed partnership with Black Bear Diner for the second time in 2023, making another joint effort focused on saving lives in our community. Together, we work to recognize and appreciate blood donors while promoting the importance of blood donations during the summer months.
Every day, our community heavily depends on a steady supply of blood to meet the demands of hospitals and the patients under their care. Through a partnership with Black Bear Diner, we can help to ensure our community always maintains an ample supply of blood. During the summer, there is typically a decline in the number of donors due to school breaks, travel plans, and missed appointments. However, the need for blood remains constant. Our hospitals depend on the continuous support of our community to provide blood products for life-saving treatments that patients require.
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and Black Bear Diner invite the Greater Houston community to participate in this life-saving initiative. By donating blood at any Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center location from July 31 to August 6, 2023, donors will not only help save lives but also receive a voucher for a free Black Bear Diner adult entrée, thanking them for their donation. Some restrictions apply.
By expressing gratitude to blood donors and highlighting the significance of their blood donation, Black Bear Diner aims to encourage more individuals to participate in the life-saving act of donating blood.
Donating blood is easy and can be done once every 56 days. To donate blood, individuals must be at least 16 years old (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Donors must also bring a valid photo ID, eat a healthy meal, and drink plenty of fluids before donating. A typical whole blood donation takes about an hour and saves many lives. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is asking our community to donate more frequently and make giving blood a part of their routine as a way of giving back – One-hour changes everything!
