Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Welcomes Donors to New Facility
(College Station, TX)- Construction is complete, and Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center invites you to join us on March 20 at 1 p.m. for our grand opening event at our new Brazos Valley Area donor center, located at 1015 Krenek Tap Rd, College Station, TX 77840.
We are excited to bring donors and our community this state-of-the-art center, which features a 10,800 square-foot building, covered fleet parking for more efficient loading and unloading, circular operational traffic flow for donor coaches, growth space for additional fleet, increased warehouse, and mobile operations space, and secured fencing.
Our new facility will also be home to our community’s donor center, replacing our current facility, The Blood Center at Brazos Valley, located at 1701 Rock Prairie Rd, College Station, TX 77845. The Brazos Valley donor center serves 10 area hospitals in the Brazos Valley area and sends more than 10,000 blood products annually. Every day, they need to collect 50 donations to ensure our local hospitals have an adequate blood supply for patients in need.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Brazos Valley Chamber of Commerce, photo and interview opportunities with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s executive team, city leaders, donors and recipients, architect and construction crews, door prizes, snacks, and beverages. Attendees can also view and tour the new facility and donate blood.
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood components 24/7 to more than 170 hospitals and health care facilities in a 26-county Texas Gulf Coast region. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is a nonprofit organization and is accredited by the Food and Drug Administration. For more information or to help save lives, visit giveblood.org.
