Let’s Get Straight to the Pint This August

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is thrilled to announce the continuation of its longstanding partnership with Blue Bell Creameries as they celebrate an impressive three decades of collaboration this August during our highly anticipated annual Pint for Pint promotion.

Since 1990, Blue Bell Creameries has been committed to saving lives alongside Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, generously providing vouchers for complimentary pints of their ice cream as a token of gratitude to our blood donors. These promotional incentives serve as extra encouragement, inspiring the community to roll up their sleeves and make life-saving blood donations.

Every day, our community relies on a steady supply of blood and blood products for our hospitals and the patients they care for. By collaborating with Blue Bell, we aim to ensure that our community maintains an adequate blood supply. The summer season typically sees a decline in donors due to school breaks, travel plans, and missed appointments. But the need remains constant. Our hospitals rely on our community to supply blood products for patients’ life-saving treatments.

During the Pint for Pint promotion, donors who successfully donate blood between August 1st and August 31st will receive a voucher from Blue Bell Creameries, good for one free pint of Blue Bell ice cream from their local grocery store. Blue Bell Creameries, an esteemed American food company known for its premium ice cream, sherbet, and a wide range of frozen treats, holds a prominent position as one of the best-selling ice cream brands nationwide. Donating blood is easy and can be done once every 56 days. A typical whole blood donation takes about an hour and saves many lives.
