Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs your help. Consider using your influence and platform to recruit donations from healthy adults who have fully recovered from COVID-19.
This toolkit is designed to give you the assets you need to share with your audiences. In it, you’ll find online resources to help educate and inform.
One of the most common reasons people give for not donating blood is, “No one ever asked me.” In our experience, nothing is more effective than an ask. A personalized appeal is often all it takes!
How easy is it?
Schedule a donation at any Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center location. When you arrive, bring your test results with you and be sure to alert staff that you have previously tested positive for COVID.
That’s it. That’s all it takes to be someone’s hero. Let’s go save some lives!

Ready? Help in the fight against COVID-19
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is permitting convalescent plasma as an investigational treatment for patients with moderate or severe COVID-19 symptoms, and studies have been encouraging. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is working with local hospitals to assess their needs and contacting donors who may qualify to give blood.
To qualify, donors must be 17 years or older, meet Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s general eligibility requirements for donating blood, and have had a positive test laboratory test for COVID-19. They must be fully recovered with no symptoms for at least 14 days.
Anyone with questions or who wants to sign up for an appointment can contact Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center at (713) 791-6608, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or complete our online form.
