Let’s work together to save lives and help replenish the blood supplies in Ukraine. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine left some of its blood centers destroyed. Civilians were urged to support the Ukrainian military and their communities by donating blood because blood is an important strategic reserve.
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will donate $5 to the Blood Centers of America Foundation for every successful blood donation made from May 2 to May 4, 2022. Fresenius Kabi, a global healthcare company, will match the donations. The proceeds will be used to help replenish blood supplies in Ukraine, as blood products will not be shipped outside of the United States.
