About 1,000 blood donations are needed every day to help save lives in the Texas Gulf Coast region. 1 in 7 hospitalized people will need a blood transfusion in a lifetime. There is no substitute for blood. That is why your donation matters. It mattered for Hayden as he needed seven blood transfusions from surgeries. Hayden says he wants to be a donor and help others, just like other people who helped him.
