Hattie E. Henderson, M.D.

Hattie E. Henderson, M.D., has cared for patients in the Houston area specializing in family medicine and geriatric care for over 20 years. She earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship in geriatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Her diverse clinical background includes work in pediatric, family, and occupational medicine, as well as long-term care, hospice, and palliative care. Caring for seniors remains one of her greatest passions.

Dr. Henderson serves on the Executive Board of the Harris County Medical Society and the Houston Academy of Medicine. She also held the position of Vice Chair on the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council (PCIAC) for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. She continues to work with the PCIAC in offering CE events annually.

She is involved in her church, Brentwood Baptist Church, where she enjoys teaching Sunday School, working with children’s ministries and serves as the Charter Organization Representative for Boy Scout Troop 500. She is the mother of two young adults and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Henderson joined the Board of Trustees of Gulf Coast Blood in 2021 as a representative of the Harris County Medical Society.
