Lakshitha’s Story:
Inspiring Change Through Leadership

_{As a high school student, Lakshitha discovered the impact of blood donation through HOSA and soon began organizing blood drives, eventually leading multiple events as president and inspiring peers and teachers to give back. Each drive collected dozens of units and helped save lives, motivating her to create videos, lead initiatives, and educate others about the ripple effect of every donation.}

_{She later won a Commit for Life Scholarship from Gulf Coast Blood after sharing her perspective on how blood drives strengthen her community. That support has helped her begin her studies at the University of Houston, where she is pursuing human development and pre-med.
