HOUSTON, Texas — Gulf Coast Blood is partnering with Houston-based Three Brothers Bakery for a month of fundraising that will combine community-giving with lifesaving impact.
As part of Three Brothers Bakery’s Cookies for a Cause program, a custom royal-iced cookie featuring the Gulf Coast Blood logo will be sold throughout January 2026 at all four Three Brothers Bakery locations in Houston. Fifty percent of all cookie sales will be donated to support Gulf Coast Blood’s lifesaving mission spanning 170 hospitals across the region and the patients we all ultimately serve.
The partnership will also include a community blood drive at Three Brothers Bakery’s Braeswood location on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026. Media are invited to attend and gather interviews and b-roll.

“Every day, patients depend on blood being available when they need it,” Theresa Pina, Gulf Coast Blood Chief Growth Officer said. “This partnership with Three Brothers Bakery is a great example of how local businesses can play a direct role in saving lives. Whether someone donates blood or purchases a cookie, they’re helping hospital patients receive the care they need.”
Three Brothers Bakery, founded in Houston in 1949 by Holocaust survivors Sigmund, Sol and Max Jucker, is a fifth-generation family business known for its Eastern European-inspired baked goods and longstanding commitment to community service.
“Giving back is part of our family’s history and our values,” said Bobby Jucker, co-owner and fifth-generation baker at Three Brothers Bakery. “Partnering with Gulf Coast Blood
allows our customers to support a cause that truly matters. It’s a simple way for the community to come together and make a real difference.”
Winter months often present challenges for maintaining an adequate blood supply due to seasonal illnesses and decreased donor turnout, making partnerships like this especially impactful.
