Gulf Coast Blood to Celebrate Grand Opening of Advanced Therapies Facility
HOUSTON - Gulf Coast Blood will celebrate the grand opening of its new Advanced Therapies facility on Friday, Sept. 11, marking an expansion of the organization's role in healthcare and its capabilities to support the next generation of medicine.
Located in Houston's Texas Medical Center, Gulf Coast Blood Advanced Therapies provides specialized cellular collections that can support researchers, healthcare organizations and industry partners developing and advancing innovative cell and gene therapies.
The expansion comes as marrow donor collections, cellular therapies, including CAR-T, are becoming an increasingly important part of patient care. As more hospitals establish programs to offer these therapies, the need for specialized collection capabilities and reliable partners within the cell therapy ecosystem is also growing.
For Gulf Coast Blood, Advanced Therapies creates a new opportunity to connect donors with the researchers, healthcare providers and industry partners working to develop and deliver treatments that may change the future of patient care.
